A historic Devon country house
We’re very much looking forward to welcoming visitors to Hemerdon House in 2025. We are offering tours beginning at 2:30pm and 4:00pm on the following dates.
May 3rd, 4th, 5th, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th
June 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th
July 4th, 5th, 6th, 26th, 27th, 28th
August 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st
Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Visitors are also welcome, at their own risk, to explore the parkland, pond area and walled garden on Open Days between 2pm and 6pm. (Please come to the house first, though, to let us know you’re here.) We ask you to bear in mind that the terrain can be very uneven in parts, and we advise waterproof footwear if the weather has been wet. Dogs on leads are permitted in the grounds.
BOOKING
There is no requirement to book unless you’re a party of 6 or more. Having said that, it’s worth bearing in mind that our maximum capacity is 15 people per tour, and if you’d like us to reserve a place for you, you’re very welcome to phone ahead on 07704 708416 or email us at hemerdon.house@gmail.com.
If your party is between 6 and 10 people, please phone or email in advance as we can’t otherwise guarantee that we’ll be able to accommodate you.
Tours for groups of more than 10 people are offered by prior arrangement only, and will be accommodated outside the public Open Days.
